PROVIDING FOR HEALTH
Providing for Health (P4H) aims at reducing the risk of financial catastrophe and improverishment with obtaining health care. Mandated through the G8 summit in Heiligendamm/Germany P4H serves as an international platform for dialogue and harmonised collaboration to support LICs and MICs in reaching their goals and objectives on Social Health Protection and Universal Coverage.
Key areas of P4H work are: (i) conceptualizing and developing health financing strategies that promote equity, efficiency and social inclusion; that are sustainable and aligned with country systems; and that provide adequate financial risk protection; and (ii) providing technical support to countries for the design and implementation of social health protection strategies.
