Briefings. WHO Director General Dr Margaret Chan,
Assistant Director General Dr Carissa Etienne, GAVI
Alliance Executive Secretary Dr Julian Lob-Levyt,

Ethiopian Director of Planning Dr Nejmudin Kedir and
Civil Society representatives joined country
representatives, multilateral and bilateral agencies
to discuss how to more effectively integrate the
expertise that CSOs offer to the IHP+ and to the
countries themselves.
The meeting was an opportunity for the IHP+ to
describe the intentions and progress of the
programme from the a variety of perspective of donor
countries, developing countries and coordinating
agencies, thereby allowing those attending to
understand the complex and dynamic relationships
that are working together towards the single outcome
of strengthening health systems in IHP+ countries.
