IHP+ and other key actors
1/ How will IHP+ involve CSOs?
The H8 agencies are committed to ensuring that CSOs are involved in the IHP+ process. They need to be involved in holding partners to account at global and country levels. CSOs are a critical partner in delivering health services in all developing countries. The H8 are committed to ensuring that, as the partnership develops, global and local CSOs will play an equally significant role at the global level as well as in countries.
At global level, a consultation process has started with the development of a concept note that proposes several modalities of engagement. In addition, it is agreed that representation of civil society be included in the bi-monthly dialogue with countries and development partners. At country level, country teams should strengthen the engagement of key stakeholders of civil society in the full IHP+ process. This full engagement will ensure the accountability to citizens and all partners in this process.
