This pair of papers is designed to communicate that better results and value for money was achieved in Ethiopia by utilizing government funding channels. The first paper, "Ethiopia's Health Sector: Excellent returns on your development funding", highlights how better development cooperation through the use of country systems has led to significant health gains. The second piece, Results and Effectiveness of Various Funding Modalities in the Ethiopian Health Sector, provides more in-depth evidence supporting these results. Together, these papers argue the case for using government channels as the preferred funding mechanism.
